  • 1, 2, 3 🍏 Apple Pies ready to go! I always bake my pies a couple days ahead of thanksgiving but if you are still wanting to bake one, below is my fool proof Green Apple Pie Recipe! Use this with my perfect pie crust recipe for the best dessert on your table this year! The green apples make the pie sweet and tart - bonus- you don’t have the peel the apples! Tag me if you make this recipe! 🙌🏼 . . Slice of Seds Green Apple Pie 6-7 cups thinly sliced green apples (you do not need to peel!) 1 1/2 cup white sugar 3 tbsp corn starch (flour is fine) 1 tsp vanilla Sprinkle of cinnamon Follow my perfect pie crust recipe (or use store bought) and place half the rolled dough onto the bottom of your pie dish Mix the above ingredients together and add to the pie dish Dot with 1 tbsp butter (cut up) and cover with the remaining rolled dough. Crimp edges and cut slits in top or cut out a center design. (Optional) mix 1 egg and splash of half and half or milk and brush on top crust. This “egg wash” will give you a golden crust like you see here! Sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 20 min at 425. Reduce oven heat to 350 and bake for an additional 40 min. If you notice your top crust is getting too brown then cover with foil to finish baking time. TIP: your pie will bubble over which will burn in the bottom of your oven and cause your fire alarm to go off (this has never happened to me….).
